Example Reflection:
Before reading the RBT Handbook and Maintenance Requirements, I didn’t realise how strict the supervision and renewal processes are. I used to think once you’re certified, that’s it, but now I understand you have to track your supervision hours and ensure you get observed twice a month. I also didn’t realise there was a specific percentage of supervision time depending on your total hours. This makes sense because it ensures RBTs keep improving and don’t just fall into bad habits. I feel more prepared now to keep good records and to ask for supervision if I’m not getting enough. It’s clear that maintaining my credential isn’t just about ticking boxes — it’s about keeping my practice ethical and effective.
