Welcome to the Jigsaw Training RBT Course. The RBT credential stands for Registered Behavior Technician. It is a certification offered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) held by many individuals who work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. including autism. An RBT works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
The RBT credential requires the completion of 40 hours of specific training in behavior analysis based on the RBT Task List. This course meets the BACB’s coursework requirements for becoming an RBT. In addition to meeting the coursework requirement, those hoping to become an RBT must pass a competency assessment and sit the RBT exam. Once you begin the course, you have 180 days (approximately 6 months) to complete the 40 hours of training.
This training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician Task List (2nd Ed)) and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential. The program is offered independent of the BACB.
